Dr. James Hansen Reflects on His Education at the University of Iowa

On October 16, 2014, the PPC, along with the UI Lecture Committee, had the honor of bringing alumnus Dr. James Hansen back to the University of Iowa to speak at the "Meeting the Renewable Energy Challenge" symposium and give a public lecture titled, "Speaking Truth to Power: Lessons From Iowa and Relevance to Global Climate Policies."  

Fortunately, Dr. Hansen also took the time to reflect on his experience at the University of Iowa and his work with UI space scientists James Van Allen.  Dr. Hansen obtained his bachelor's at the University of Iowa and continued his education earning both his master's and doctoral degrees from Iowa.
