PPC Commonwealth Report Published in the Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved

Authors Brad Wright, Pete Damiano, and Suzanne Bentler, released a report, "Assessing the Capacity of Iowa's Community Health Centers to Respond to the Opportunities and Challenges for the Affordable Care Act," that took a look at the current and future capacity of Iowa community health centers (CHCs) and rural health clinics (RHCs) using an online survey among executive directors of CHCs and RHCs, asking about current capacity and demand for services, projected increases in capacity and demand, and organizational readiness for change.  The Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved have published that report in their Volume 25, Issue 4 journal.  

Additionally, Kevin Fiscella from the University of Rochester School and Medicine and Dentistry and H. Jack Geiger from the City University of New York Medical School, released a response article that suggests the trends seen in Iowa regarding CHCs are likely happening across the country.  You can read their article here.
