Damiano participates in CDHP oral health measurement meeting

Dr. Peter Damiano, Director of the Public Policy Center and the PPC’s Health Policy Research Program and professor of preventive and community dentistry in the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, participated in an oral health measurement meeting for the Children’s Dental Health Project (CDHP) on Monday, July 31 in Washington, D.C.

Damiano met with several members of the oral health community from across the country to discuss potential indicators that should be of the highest priority in tracking the state of the nation’s oral health, as well as the impact of clinical and public health interventions.

The CDHP creates and advances innovative policy solutions so that no child suffers from tooth decay. They are driven by the vision of all children achieving optimal oral health in order to reach their full potential.
