Pieper Participates in Big Ideas Panel on Managing Life Risks

Felicia Pieper, Research Coordinator in the Health Policy Research Program, presented on a Health Equity panel for about sixty undergraduate students enrolled in the course “Big Ideas: Equality, Opportunity, and Public Policy in America,” which is led by Sarah Bruch, Director of the Social & Education Policy Research Program. The panel was a capstone to the unit on “Managing Life Risks.” Students were familiarized with each panelist and their work beforehand and prepared questions ranging in scope from providing care to vulnerable populations to managing burn out to advocating for health policy at the local and national level.

Pieper works with Dr. Natoshia Askelson on programs that promote health in the areas of adolescent vaccine promotion, adolescent pregnancy prevention, and school nutrition.
