Osborn and Kreitzer Continue to Study Women Running for Office

Tracy Osborn, Director, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, and Director of the Politics and Policy Research Program, together with Rebecca Kreitzer, Assistant Professor of Political Science at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, are continuing their work this summer on "Gender Equality in Public Policy." The two are studying groups who recruit women candidates for public office, and their success in getting women to run for office.  Their research this summer involves interviewing groups and analyzing the results of a survey of groups that they conducted last summer at the PPC. Last year's project led to a journal article submission, development of a survey instrument for primary data collection, and a grant application, and this summer they are working toward publishing a book.
