Ronnenberg to Study Prevalence of Childcare Hardship in Iowa

Body

Megan Ronnenberg, a doctoral student in Social Work, will work on her project, Childcare Hardship in Iowa, as a summer scholar. Childcare hardship occurs when a caregiver's choice of childcare is constrained by cost or availability in their community. The goal of Ronnenberg's project is to describe the prevalence of childcare hardship in Iowa, identify groups at higher risk, and to create and disseminate a policy brief and journal article on her results.

Ronnenberg has also worked with the Public Policy Center as a pre-doctoral research fellow.
