In the News: Askelson Urges Americans to Get HPV Vaccine

The UI Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center joined other National Cancer Institute designated cancer centers across the country in issuing a statement urging Americans to get human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinations of adolescents back on schedule. In an interview with KGAN TV, Natoshia Askelson, research fellow in the Health Policy Research, and Community Outreach and Engagement co-leader at the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, urged parents to get their kids back on track for the vaccine, after vaccination rates waned during the COVID-19 pandemic.
