Two HPRP Publications Cited in National Resource Guide

Body

Two of the Health Policy Research Program's publications were cited as key policy resources in "Integrating Oral Health Care into Primary Care: A Resource Guide," which was put out by the National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center at Georgtown University.

The two reports cited by the guide are "The Need for Defining a Patient-Centered Dental Home Model in the Era of the Affordable Care Act" by Pete Damiano, Julie Reynolds, Susan McKernan, Simi Mani, and Ray Kuthy; and "Medical-Dental Integration in Public Health Settings: An Environmental Scan" by Susan McKernan, Ray Kuthy, Julie Reynolds, Laurel Tuggle, and Dina Garcia.

The guide features resources to help health professionals, program administrators, and others implement oral health care integration in materials, programs, and systems of care. It features descriptions and links to materials on surveillance, policy, practice guidance, practice tools, professional education and training, and program development. It also includes descriptions of organizations that can provide additional support for activities to promote the integration of oral health care into primary care.
