"I chose public health because it was broad enough that I was confident I would find an area that aligns best with my interests, and because I was interested in health and wanted a career that focused on helping people."

"My current research interests are anything related to COVID-19. I am fascinated by the virus, and always want to know more about it. The work we are doing for Dr. Askelson is right up my alley with researching vaccine hesitancy. Another project I am interested in is our project on COVID-19 and social media, which is cool because we get to learn what people are thinking about the virus and the vaccine. I'm interested in environmental epi, as well as substance use and mental health epi, so that might be an area I strive towards. I can also see myself working for a state or local public health department."

Fun Fact: She can lick her elbow!
