"At the University of Iowa School of Social Work, I am on the Integrated Practice track and am also pursuing my Aging and Longevity Certificate. My research and professional interests include supporting and advocating for the aging LGBTQ+ community, social policy, successful aging, and increasing access to mental health and disability services. I am also passionate about hospice and bereavement, anti-racist work, and improving sex and sexuality education. Throughout my social work education, I have learned about how important it is to empower marginalized, oppressed, and vulnerable populations."
