State Hygienic Lab Named Healthiest Lab in the Nation

Congratulations to our OVPR colleagues at the State Hygienic Lab (SHL) on being named as the healthiest lab in the nation at the Association of Public Health Laboratories' (APHL) annual meeting in May. The SHL's high scores on the APHL Self-Assessment Checklist, measuring health promotion, environmental sustainability, and policy implementation, were a key factor in earning the top spot for the award. The SHL also received $1,000 with the award to support health and wellness initiatives for staff.
