PPC Welcomes Assistant Research Scientist Kandyce Larson

Kandyce Larson, assistant research scientist, is a health services and policy researcher joining the PPC's Health Policy Research Program. She conducts studies aimed at monitoring and improving disparities in health and health care access for vulnerable populations. She is currently working with the health policy team on an evaluation of the Iowa Medicaid expansion program.

Larson has earned both her PhD and master's degrees in Social Welfare from the University of California-Los Angeles. Some of her other research interests include child and family health, social determinants of health, and trends in health and health care access.
