Collaborative Midterm Survey Funds PPC Research Study on Political Attitudes

Body

Julie Pacheco, director, and Caroline Tolbert, distinguished research fellow, of the Politics and Policy Research Program received $200,000 to study political attitudes during the 2022 election, as part of Cornell University's Collaborative Midterm Survey. The ISRC assisted with the proposal and will support the data collection.

The Iowa team will collect data on 6,400 respondents using both telephone and online samples with oversamples from Florida, Wisconsin, and California. Two other teams will collect 6,400 respondents for a total of nearly 20,000 U.S. adults. The data will yield novel insights about U.S. midterm elections and public opinion on a wide range of policy issue areas, promoting innovation for the future of collaborative survey research.
