Bio
Cher Carney has been a member of the Transportation and Vehicle Safety Policy Research Program at the Public Policy Center since 2004. She has supported several field and simulator-based research programs in the area of human factors and transportation, with particular emphasis in the area of teen driving. Prior to joining the University of Iowa, Carney spent three years as a Research Scientist at the Battelle Human Factors Transportation Center in Seattle working on the development of guidelines for the design of in-vehicle displays.
