Administrator School Breakfast Survey: Report of Findings
The following report presents selected findings from an online survey of K-12 school administrators in the state of Iowa (n=152). The purpose of the survey was to better understand administrator perceptions, attitudes, and beliefs around the school breakfast program and determine barriers and facilitators to improving school breakfast program participation in Iowa schools.
The results of the survey will be used to better understand why school breakfast participation in Iowa is low compared to rates of school lunch participation, and inform ways in which the Iowa Department of Education can work to increase school breakfast participation in the state. This survey represents one component of a larger body of recent research related to school breakfast in the state of Iowa.
