Emily Zimmerman
Emily received her B.S. from Iowa State University in Biology and Global Resource Systems, M.S. from the University of Michigan in Environment and Natural Resources, and Ph.D. from Iowa State University in Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Science. Since 2019, Emily has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management and the Global Resource Systems Program in the Department of Horticulture at Iowa State University. Emily’s research interests are focused on understanding the relationship between land use and ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes. Most recently, Emily’s research has focused specifically on innovation and application of geospatial data and tools to identify opportunities for best management practices (BMPs) to enhance ecosystem services and estimate environmental and economic outcomes associated with those BMPs.
