Mr. Menke joined the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) in the position of Biofuels Manager in 2009, transitioning to Policy Director in 2012. Mr. Menke is responsible for federal and state policy development and advocacy, the oversight of regulatory activities, and many other duties at IRFA.
Prior to the IRFA, Mr. Menke served as the research assistant for Senator Chuck Grassley on the U.S. Senate Finance Committee in Washington, DC, and umpired professionally for Minor League Baseball.
Mr. Menke was raised on a corn and soybean farm just outside of the northwest Iowa town of Calumet. He received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Humanities from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He currently resides in Ankeny, Iowa with his wife, Susie, and sons, J.J., Luke and Winn.
