Bio

Jeffrey Lobas is the Chief Medical Officer at Cardon Children’s Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Lobas was a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Iowa, where he served as the Director of the Child Health Specialty Clinics, the Title V Program for Children with Special Health Care Needs for the State of Iowa, and as Medical Director for the IDPH’s Division of Health Promotion & Chronic Disease Prevention. He also served as the Principal Investigator for Iowa’s Medical Home project. From 2005-2007 he was the President of the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs. Dr. Lobas holds an MD in Pediatrics from the Medical College of Ohio, and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care and Pediatric Pulmonology at the University of Wisconsin. He served on the faculty at Indiana University and the University of Minnesota. He holds an MPA from Ohio State University and a doctorate in Organization Development from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis.
