Jon Lauck

Jon Lauck serves as Counsel and Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator John Thune. He is the author of American Agriculture and the Problem of Monopoly, Daschle v. Thune: Anatomy of a High Plains Senate Race, and Prairie Republic: The Political Culture of Dakota Territory and the co-author and co-editor of The Plains Political Tradition: Essays on South Dakota Political Culture. He recently wrote about the importance of the Iowa Caucuses for the Fortnightly Review. Dr. Lauck is a historian, and was previously a professor at South Dakota State University.
