Joshua Engelbrecht

Joshua is a graduate student in the school of planning and public affairs. For his bachelor’s degree he studied environmental science with particular interest in ecology and how urban development impacts and changes existing ecosystems. They are pursuing their master’s degree in Urban Planning with a concentration in Environmental and Land Use planning. Their capstone project for the masters program is in partnership with the Jackson County Energy District and Jackson County Economic Alliance. The project aims to create an action plan that explores and evalutates the economic feasibility of transitioning to PV solar energy, maps the existing solar installations throughout the county, and explore PV solar energy options for the town of Springbrook (Population 143) in central Jackson County.
