Nat Kongtahworn

As Director of Clinical Integration, Mr. Kongtahworn leads Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield's collaboration with physicians and other healthcare entities on community-wide implementation of the Chronic Care Model and the patient-centered medical home. Previously, Mr. Kongtahworn was Managing Director of Operations for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s Technology Evaluation Center, which is recognized nationally for its leadership in producing systematic reviews of the available evidence on the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of disease. He has also worked with Blues Plans on implementing strategies that support improved quality and affordability of care provided by network physicians and hospitals. Mr. Kongtahworn’s background is in academic medical group practice administration where he was responsible for clinic operations, developing a primary care referral base, quality measurement, and clinical trials administration. He received a B.A. from Macalester College and an M.S. in healthcare administration from Rush University. Mr. Kongtahworn is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
