Summer Scholars Seek to Build Media and Policy Program

Kajsa Dalrymple and Melissa Tully, Associate Professors in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, join the PPC in June as Summer Scholars-in-residence. Their project, “Building a Media and Policy Program to Connect Scholarship, Teaching, and Policy at the University of Iowa,” aims to develop a proposal in support of a Media and Policy program, including a mission statement, proposed faculty affiliates, suggested resources required for fostering collaborative research, and potential funding for the program.  They intend to host a local forum to generate a list of community-focused issues that can be used to launch research projects in this area.
