Two of the Public Policy Center's distinguished research fellows, Corinne Peek-Asa (Transportation and Vehicle Safety, Crime and Justice Policy Research Programs) and Caroline Tolbert (Politics and Policy Research Program), were named the inaugural honorees of the University of Iowa's new award, the Distinguished University Professor award. The award was launched through the provost's office to recognize tenured scholars who have made significant, positive impact through teaching, research, scholarship, and artistic creation. Peek-Asa and Tolbert were selected by an advisory committee based on their demonstrated achievements; future promise of research, teaching, or scholarship; and their record of interdisciplinary activities in their work.
