Anthony Selected for Fulbright Award in India to Study Sustainable Urbanism

Jerry Anthony, senior research fellow in the Social and Education Policy Research Program, has been chosen for a Fulbright Scholar Award in India for the 2022-2023 academic year. He will spend the spring and summer semesters in India researching sustainable urbanism as a Fulbright-Kalam Climate Studies Scholar with the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. His work will explore cities that have adopted urban development policies that reduce city-scale carbon footprints, decrease dependence on non-renewable resources, and lower greenhouse has emissions.

Anthony is one of more than 800 U.S. scholars that will travel abroad this year for research and other projects through the Fulbright Scholar Program. The program is a prestigious and competitive fellowship with the goal of supporting research opportunities and forming long-term ties between people and places.
