Mitchell Featured on Politics Day Edition of River to River
Sara Mitchell, senior research fellow in the Politics and Policy Research Program, was a guest speaker on a politics day episode of Iowa Public Radio's "River to River." She was joined by Jonathan Hassid, associate professor of Political Science at Iowa State University.
Mitchell offered her foreign policy expertise on a number of global issues including Russian President Putin's visit to Iran, as well as the effect of the war in Ukraine on other parts of the world. Also discussed were various domestic issues such as legislation passing in the House of Representatives to protect same-sex and interracial marriage, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin's power to influence the President's agenda, and recent developments from the January 6 committee.
