This area includes a line of research on the vulnerabilities of women and race/ethnic minorities to violent victimization, which seeks to identify broad trends over time, as well as to identify factors that expose certain subgroups to high rates of violence and other factors that protect them from violence. The area also includes work on gender differences in delinquency, and on women’s offending, particularly violent offending.
