    Dan McGehee was invited by the Des Moines Register to comment on a study released by the Allstate Foundation that looks at teen driver licensing laws in Iowa. The study found that stricter regulations could have saved 32 young lives and $200 million in 2009.

    Dr. Phuong Nguyen, researcher in the PPC Social Science Program, was quoted in the Iowa Press-Citizen in an article titled Cities' Debt Varies Across County. With interest rates at an all time low, many municipalities have chosen to increase their outstanding debt by issuing bonds.
  • Teen Passengers Increase Crash Risk for Teen Drivers

    The Human Factors and Vehicle Safety program has released a policy brief that compiles information from the latest research on the safety impact of teen passengers on teen drivers. Iowa is currently one of only seven states with no law restricting teen passengers.
